BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD

Disunity, chaos, discomfort and war these things are visibly seen in our world. We can think that where can we find harmony if we are drawn to face this reality. Our ecological battle is being strong, natural evil is present because of man’s doings and sin of omission. We cannot blame someone because of what is happening in our world. We cannot change others perspective, we cannot change the result and action of other people. The problem we are facing today is must risky it is because people are being self-centered and not think for the things that is beneficial to the common good, there are being narcissist and think the things that is personal only.

The only things we can do today as a human beings is that “be the change that you want to see in the world” as Mahatma Gandhi said. The change must start in ourselves for us to influence others, by simple action we have done, others may follow on it. The change we want is the change of our heart, which means it is personal in a way that we are not capable of changing others but we are capable of being an inspiration to others that they may do initiatives also.

Changing the self is not easy if we are being at home in ourselves. We think only for ourselves, those things that is beneficial and applicable to us. Be the change that you want to see in the world” encourages deep thinking about our personal responsibilities and ethical choices. It emphasizes the connection between individual actions and societal change, asserting that true transformation starts from within. This means that to see our beliefs and values reflected in the world, we must first embody them in our own behavior.

The world is too huge and we are just a point on it, but if we try to change our action to that is good and creative, we can create a harmonious place where we can express ourselves for change. I've come to understand that change often starts with personal accountability. While it's easy to point out societal problems or expect others to act, real transformation begins when we take responsibility for our own actions. By making intentional choices—like showing compassion in our interactions or promoting social justice—we can set an example that motivates others.

"Be the change that you want to see in the world” is a call to action that urges us to reflect on how we can positively impact our surroundings. It reminds us that we are not just bystanders but active contributors to building a better future. By embodying the changes we wish to see, we foster a more compassionate and just society. Our personal actions to what is good can affect others by simply be a model and inspiration to act also for the good and harmony.
