ARGUMENTUM AD BACULUM
(Argument to Force)

“Lahat ng pangako ay mapapako” the famous
tag line of people after they vote the Politician they like but later turns
into evil. They tell words of inspiration during campaign but now those words
turns into horrible and useless. They love telling lies, as if it is innate for
them, during the campaign they tell that they are the humble servant “ako ang
inyong kapatid, katuwang, kaagapay” but now, those words are nothing. People believe
the Politician because they are star (artista), good looking and many more,
people are convey with their words of non-sense. Not all Politician’s, but most
of them, trying to give some money before the election to vote them, others are
making propaganda to make them famous. But sad to say everything changes after
they won the election.
Today some Politician used their
power to command and worst to humiliate others especially to those neglected in
the society. No voice is heard from those marginalize sectors because when they
compline something worst happen like killing without prior judicial hearing. Politicians
promise that they will change the country or their city/municipality and
barangay into safe and accessible one, but we did not know that they have
hidden agenda. Most of them are corrupt, many news and magazine portrait them
as pig, but now it lever up, crocodile, how sad but that’s the reality.
There is a politician that is good
at the beginning but later, they use power to make their own satisfaction, they
made ordinances and sign bills for their benefit and not for all ad populum. They never look back in the
past, they just focus on the present situation, and the situation that they
think it is good for all. It is normal that people are no longer believe in
them because of their negligence, but it is sad that if they knew people will
revolt, they use their power and eliminate those patriotic men and women. How
unfortunate those journalist who died because of their force to change the
mindset of all, they are trying to divert the attention of the people and go
back to the real realm of success, but they never realize that when truth my came
out, they will die.
Argumentum ad Baculum is seen in
most of the Politician because they use their force without thinking that most
to the mass will affected and involve. It is fearful in all people who try to
tell the truth because they know that even “truth will set as free” the ending
is “Ang katutuhanan kay delikado, ang malala nakakmatay”. That is now happening
in our beloved society, ironically speaking Philippines is as republic and democratic
it must be vox populi but the real
happening is that the voice is in the hand of the superior, those seated in the
Malacañang Palace, in specific the President. The famous happenings of argument
to force is what happen the regime of Ex-President Duterte, his war on drugs,
many people died because of his command, he uses his force to eliminate. Most
of the victim are innocent, those higher rank are kept innocent. What a horrible
inequality we have in the country.
Force must be used for the good of
all and not for personal purposes only. We never used force for us to eliminate
people, the force must be treated equally with dignity and conscience. Force
must be positive in used and not just for self-relief. We must know that most
of the news when we talk of politics normally anchored with negative feedback.
I have a friend of mind that voted
someone in the presidential election, she actually defended everything that is
negative to her choice. But today she condemn that person because our society
is not behind in many countries, because of our economy crises. Her choice is a
choice of force because she voted someone that she did not know what happen
next. She told me that she actually condemn that person. When we talk I tell
her “yan yung binoto mo, panindigan mo” and she refuse to mention it in our
conversation. What I realize is that she voted that person because it has a
background that is good for the country, she never realize that soon her choice
will revolt the country and use its force to control the people.
“Susundin niyo ako o mamamatay kayo”.
I heard that is most of the teleserye
and it is always associated with the politics. Must force to follow for us to
be safe and it is fallacious because we have the freedom to express, but if we
are trying to defend ourselves, everything will change. Following the high rank
is never been an excuse, we must follow what is true and good. Normally, people
are capable of doing good and what is right but they choose not to do it.
Lastly, Argumentum ad Baculum must
be eliminated, we must do what is right and good for us to be free. We know
that most of the politician are using the\is fallacy. We must open our eyes in
reality. Argument of Force must be exercise equally and not negatively.
